Introducing In-Person Offerings in Monterey!

Christina here. Since 2019, the Creative Voice has been offering coaching and resources for artists through online programs and digital experiences. It’s been an amazing journey that has cycled on (and off) with my own life and the lives of our Creative Voice Artist Mentors. The vision has always been to create a studio, near the ocean, where creatives can find restorative spaces to retreat, make space for their voice, and get support.
I’m excited to announce we’re taking steps toward making this more of a reality by offering in-person programs in Monterey, California starting Summer 2024! A big part of this is due to partnership with Wendi Kirby Music (go check out her venue), and friendships with local creative producers and visionaries who are aligned with a collective goal to empower creatives with the voice, and life, tools they need to make a bigger impact with their creativity.

1:1 coaching sessions could be a great way to start. Vocal Empowerment sessions are designed to provide personalized support through focused vocal coaching sessions that help guide you to a specific outcome. Sessions are available online and now, in person at Wendi Kirby Music in downtown Monterey. The space is a beautiful place to retreat and focus on personal growth and expansion.

Pop Up Choir Night!

Are you ready to sing in a one-day choir? Pop Up Choir Night is the perfect night to sing, unwind, and make friends through a creative community experience. This is an all-inclusive event, perfect for singers of all levels who want to experience the joy of singing acapella pop music in a big group.

Baroque & Unknown
Fall 2024
In June of this year, I was delighted to receive an Individual Artist Grant from the Arts Council of Monterey County to fund a Music Education Event Series that’s been brewing in the back of my mind for several years. An idea that formed when I realized my own music education was void of women composers and influence.
Baroque & Unknown is a unique music education community initiative that aims to celebrate and showcase the works of underrepresented women, and marginalized, composers from different musicals eras while fostering a deeper connection between music, history, and empowerment for voices in Monterey County. Through creating a dynamic special event series, consisting of 4 events from October to November, we will illuminate the lives and compositions of remarkable, but often overlooked women composers, providing a platform for their stories and music to be heard and appreciated by audiences of all backgrounds. This season, we’re focused on the Baroque era.
Each event in the series will feature listening sessions and immersive presentations of Baroque female composers, exploring their musical contributions and the societal contexts in which they lived. These presentations will be accompanied by discussions on the cultural landscape of the Baroque era, highlighting the achievements of women in various fields such as painting, science, and literature. It’s a unique opportunity to deepen your musical knowledge and appreciation while enjoying a rich cultural experience.
